You've read the books.
You've done the work.
So why isn't anything changing?

Here’s the thing nobody tells you about personal development:
Information alone doesn’t create change.
You can read every book, listen to every podcast, follow all the experts on social media, walk away with a notebook full of insights — and still wake up six months later in the exact same place.
Because there's a HUGE difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it.
The One Thing was built for that gap
I brought together nine experts — specialists in burnout, body trust, communication, style, somatic work, and leadership — and asked each of them the same question:
What is the ONE thing in your area of expertise that will actually begin to create change — and what does implementing it for 30 days look like?
The one thing they'd stake their reputation on.
Each conversation follows the same structure: how they discovered it, what it's looked like for themselves and their clients, and exactly what it looks like for you to try it yourself.
Here’s how it works:
Here's a taste of what you'll hear:
Why the burnout signals you're dismissing are the ones that matter most — and a technique for reclaiming your energy without blowing up your relationships
Why positive thinking and affirmations don’t work for a lot of people — and what's actually missing underneath
How to stop white-knuckling high-stakes conversations and start sounding like yourself when it counts
The difference between a clean yes and a messy yes — and how to read your own signal in real time
Why talking about something for years doesn't mean it's moved through your body
What your wardrobe has to do with self-loyalty (so much more than you think)
How to use your Enneagram type as a north star instead of a personality label
Nine conversations. Nine specific things you can actually try. Yours to keep. Listen whenever you want, as many times as you want.
One rule: do NOT try all nine at once!
Pick the one that piques your interest the most and start there.

The show is new. Michelle isn’t.
"I didn't even know what I was coming to you for… I just knew, 'Shit. I can't keep going this way for the rest of my life.' Even though I had no idea what I wanted out of the experience, she knew how to get to the core of what was keeping me stuck. I got tools, I got support. I got clarity."
— Jennifer Freeland Public Relations and Marketing
"Michelle asks the right questions. She's a gifted listener. And her intuition always leads us down an important path."
— Rosa Lee Senior Associate Dean, Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
This is what's possible when you stop consuming more information and start doing.
This is what’s possible when you take action on the one thing that will actually create change.
A note from the host
I'm Michelle Pollack. I’m an executive leadership coach and facilitator and a keynote speaker. I’m also a woman who spent years in the entertainment industry climbing a ladder that wasn't built for me.
I work with high-achieving women who are successful by every external measure but still find themselves quietly wondering if this is really all there is. They’ve achieved so much of what they’ve wanted for their lives - but they can’t figure out why they’re still not satisfied. They work to create more “balance, they’ve gone to therapy, they read the books, they take time for “self-care”… and they still can't seem to get traction on the things they most want to change.
I created The One Thing because I kept hearing the same thing from so many women:
"I feel like I know what I should do. I can’t figure out why I can’t seem to do it."
This is my attempt to close that gap and hand you something you can actually use.
I'm not big on band-aids. If you want something to shift, you have to be willing to do some work. This show is going to ask something real of you. But small moves that create lasting change beat another notebook full of insights any day.
I'm known for my mix of fierce compassion, big-picture strategy, and zero fluff. Also my killer margaritas and my inability to realize just how loud I get sometimes…
